Dinner was above average. The ribeye steaks were cooked perfectly, but the quality of the cut was below expectations for a $50+ price range. The fried buttermilk chicken sandwich was very good, but the French fries were lukewarm warm and soggy. The chicken was a $25 sandwich. The Oysters were excellent! But $48 for a dozen? We felt the food was overpriced for the quality. Our service was just OK. Nice porch room and it was quieter than the main bar room.
We contacted the restaurant ahead of time about vegan brunch options, and not only did they help guide us but specially prepared food and the sous chef came and talked with us. I know Zingerman's has best in class customer service, but they never cease to amaze me.
I brought my friend here for a birthday lunch. She had been here in the past, but this was a first time for me. She created her own chicken basket, and I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. We both decided to share our meals so we could enjoy both.
