El Bo Inn Reviews
Poor service and food came out cold
Stopped in for a late lunch….open tables but we were seated in an empty side room with bathrooms on one side (people standing next to our table waiting to go) and kitchen entrance on other side and another across from our table. Took forever to get order of mozzarella sticks. Our lunch came out, (small) taco salad bowl & burger/fries. Burger was thin, burnt, size of a hockey puck (server said they weigh but it must have shrunk quite a bit), (2 pcs. 3”inches long) bacon was...read full review
We have been going to El Bo Inn for years. It’s our favorite restaurant to go to while staying at CCR. Of course, we expected Saturday night to be busy, but that was ridiculous. We waited for a table for 6 of us for almost an hour. Which again, on Saturday night you're going to have some sort of wait. The El Bo Inn features a great, rustic atmosphere and amazing food, making it a popular local destination. Recommended dishes include pizza, wings, jalapeño poppers, hand-dipped mozzarella sticks, homemade onion rings, and the El-Bo Special pizza. This northern Michigan spot serves up good food and ice-cold draft beer, with excellent service. The owner has added an outdoor patio bar with live music on certain evenings, creating a friendly up-north vibe. Customers have praised the unique and yummy cheese sticks, tender and fall-off-the-bone short ribs, and the outstanding meat lovers pizza with a full-bodied crust. The restaurant also offers many homemade soups, including the highly praised Reuben soup, which one customer described as the best soup they've ever had. For those who love seafood, the mussels are a must-try, but it is important to remember that it’s not always safe to eat the ones that don’t open. The chicken Alfredo has also received positive feedback, with one customer noting it tasted just like homemade. With a lively atmosphere and super friendly service, the El Bo Inn is definitely worth the trip.
