The Pasties are top knoch by far the best I have had. I had gravy but never touched it after the bite and the gravy took away from the flavor.

After driving all day, my friend and I were hungry and discovered Northwoods Outpost. My friend, who loves pasties, said these were the best she has tasted. My pizza was made to order and was equally good. And the woman who waited on us could not have been nicer. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Au Train and the Outpost. Oh, and there are no photos, because we ate the evidence.

Stopped in right at opening time. The gentleman got us on the road with hot pasties that were hot, moist and delicious. This small but clean and well thought out shop was well stocked so we could not only buy our pastie breakfast but also everything we needed for our hiking lunch and some cinnamon Trenary toast to bring home as a gift for family. Wouldn’t surprise me if the pizza was as good as the pasties.

Pull over and head inside. Great food and service! Just what we needed to fill out bellies and get back on the road. Highly recommend the house-made pasties, baked goods and pizza.
Great ice cream, huge serving! Came back for a pasty (after tossing a disappointing one from up the street). Pasty was hot and crust edge still crispy- yum!

We got subs out of the cooler. They were soggy but ok. We wanted fresh ones but the guy acted like it was a huge inconvenience so we just went with the cooler subs. They were 12$ which seemed really high for soggy sandwiches but we were on the Rd and didn't want to have to take them back. The store itself was cool. We loved the bear out front and we were able to take photos with it. Honestly, that was prob the only good thing about the place.

My wife and I had a craving for ice cream. Well they have An amazing selection of ice cream from cedar crest ice cream. We both got waffle cones and small sizes and they are not smalls. I bet the triple would have been a half gallon of ice cream. Not really but close. This is mine halfway gone. We spent under $20 for 2 cones and drinks. Totally worth stopping. And their pizza looked amazing

This was our last day in UP and our 4th day in a row eating pasties. So honestly, when we were eating them, we were getting pretty sick of them. However, beyond that, the pasties were really good, and in our opinion the best option in the Munising area. They’re all homemade from scratch. We tried the breakfast pasty and the veggie pasty. Both of them were great. The veggie pasty, though without meat, was surprisingly flavorful! If you sit outside, you also get a view to Lake Superior. I’d definitely recommend this place to someone visiting Munising!
