“We have been in this area many times and always wondered how the place was. We finally stopped in and it was great! I had the lobster grilled cheese. It was amazing! Lots of lobster on it. Atmosphere was warm and cozy. Service was friendly and fast. We will definitely be returning!”

“This place gives you the feel of a neighborhood pub overwhelmed by tourists which I guess is what you have in a tourist town. That said, the bartender was on top of things and the beer was quite good!”

“Went camping here for a few days with my Dad and our Bernese mountain dog and it was a lovely way to kick back and relax for a couple days. We were lucky with beautiful weather for October. While being here it seemed all the stresses of life melted away. It’s also a great place to rock hound.You just pick your spot and pay using an envelope near the entrance of the campground. Location wise it’s about 5-10 min from Munising and there is a gas station and small lodge across the street!The hosts were informative & eager to answer all are questions! There is fresh drinking water from water pumps scattered around the campground. And clean restrooms by the day-use area.It is roughly $30-40 per night. Spot 9 & 10 are right on Lake Superior, we were lucky to get spot 9. It is reservations through the website during the summer and the last week of September & first week of October are first come first serve. The campground closes by October 7th for the season.Restrooms: Restrooms were the cleanest pit toilets I’ve ever used. And I’ve used alot of them. This one actually smelled good and had plenty of toilet paper and barely any bugs. I was impressed, the hosts did an amazing job.Dog-friendliness: Brought our Bernese mountain dog here and she loved every minute! Great place to camp out with ur furry friend Picnic area: Tons of picnic tables in the day use area!”

“Earl E. Byrds was DEEEELICIOUS! Veronica was a fun and friendly waitress, coffee hot, and the skillets we were flavor packed and perfect after a 5 mile UP hike. if you're in Munising, you gotta go there!”

“Wow. Small pub in a town about a small as it gets. What a gem. The food, especially on Friday night for the fish fry, is awesome. Between us, our group ordered every fish dish offered and we loved all of them. The fried versions were perfectly done, with no greasiness at all. How'd they do that? And you must to try their home made potato chips. Crispy without being burned. You also have to order something that includes the jumbo fried shrimp, done perfectly. It's not on the menu but they offer a side of the shrimp that's an absolute bargain for the 10 large shrimp you get. Someone has put together a fun menu, and someone in the kitchen really knows what they're doing. We're headed back.”

“Don’t go to the other fish shop in this strip, stop here. We learned the hard way.We stopped at the other fish shops before making this our last one. It’s not as flashy as the other ones, but that’s what makes it so good. They can focus on making the fish dip and smokes fish way better than the other shops, rather than making the aesthetic match those vacationing here.My fiancé always stops here for Bret’s whitefish dip and buys extra for the 8 hour drive home and some for the weeks that we are not out here.They do take a vacation during the summer. You just need to call to see if they are open. One week we were up here and found out they were out for the week. Going into winter, they do close down for the season. I think it’s the owner, she is very kind and my fiancé just loves the whitefish dip she makes. Make sure to have cash. If I remember right, they don’t take card. It is a smaller business, so be kind and have patience!Parking: Easy to find parking. You can park right out in front of the entrance!”

“Amazing fish fry's! Our order got lost twice but it was well worth the wait still! Ran out of trout and whitefish but still got the perch, walleye, and haddock. Walleye was the best! All were great though still”

“Stopped in with my wife and we did not regret it. My wife had the Buffalo chicken wrap and I had a double Buffalo burger, we also had the poutine and cheese tots. That bison burger, was probably the best burger I've had, the gravy used with the poutine had an awesome flavor, the fries and tots were cooked perfectly. The wrap was a fantastic portion size and was delicious. My only complaint is that we live so far away! The staff was wonderful and super funny! Next time we're up will DEFINITELY be stopping in again”

“Love the view from their picture windows! Fun to watch birds at their bird feeders too. Great food & drinks & friendly service. They also have a small motel & a rental lodge next door, but I haven't stayed there yet. Close to Munising, a few miles off north end of hwy 13 or off Hwy 94.Wheelchair accessibility: There is also a wheelchair to use, first come first served, in the lobby. Bathroom seems accessible.”

“We where on a road trip, and they had the Take 5, when it wasn't in a dairy queen in the southern part of the state. Makes me giggle everytime I think about it.Very nice place otherwise, if you turn around from the counter there's the lake and its gorgeous.”

“One-thousand stars. Clean, friendly, spacious. Greeted seconds after we walked in the door. Service was SPECTACULAR. LITERALLY, I didn’t even notice the waitress had taken my drink and refilled it until she came back with a fresh one. Food is reasonably priced, and AMAZING. Everything we got was drool worthy. Can’t wait to come back again.”

“This location in munising Michigan, is no longer in service.,. But the Wi-Fi works! LOL, pulled into the parking lot, my phone had no service, but when I clicked on the Wi-Fi icon. Hardee's Wi-Fi was available ?And, according to the sign in the window they are now hiring!!!”
