I have been wanting to eat here for such a long time, finally had the chance to. We had a group of 6, no wait, quick/friendly service from Hannah. I ordered the black & Bleu burger, unfortunately the patty was quite black and the amount of blackened seasoning was extreme. I had to scrape it all off the burger to make it edible. 4 out of the 6 loved their food, surf & turf cheese steak, coconut shrimp and perch were delish.
Absolutely great stop on our sleds! Great staff & highly recommend lobster nachos.

The Brownstone Inn is a beloved log cabin restaurant that has been a staple in the area for decades, consistently serving exceptional food and providing great service. This upscale eatery offers an intimate atmosphere with a faux wilderness lodge setting and antler chandeliers. The menu boasts favorites like the Blackened White Fish and the prime rib dinner, which are often praised by visitors. Other delicious options include the maple bourbon aged steak and the two different preparations of elk meatloaf. The house specials, such as the garlic smashed red skinned potatoes and Brussels sprouts, are a pleasant surprise.
The friendly wait staff are attentive and knowledgeable about the history of the building, providing a nice ambiance with decor that includes real and fake wildlife trophies and classic pine tables. While the restaurant can be busy, especially during peak times, the staff works hard to take care of all guests. Visitors may experience a short wait but will be rewarded with freshly baked rolls served with cinnamon butter, a thoughtful touch that adds to the overall experience. The Brownstone Inn is a must-visit for a great meal in the Munising area, perfect for special occasions or a night out.
