Lux Cafe Reviews
Delicious! My omelet had FRESH mushrooms, spinach and tomato. The pancakes melt in your mouth. Has browns cooked to perfection. The staff is super friendly and prompt. We were stuffed and have left overs for an entire breakfast tomorrow!
I had The Farmer scrambler. It was sooo good! The service was on point, the waitress was great! The restaurant was very clean. I would visit probably every day, if I wasn't living in Ohio!
Absolutely the best breakfast. The prices are so cheap and they give you so much food. The staff is amazing. You don't get service like that anymore. Highly recommend Lux.

Lux Cafe is a hidden gem with a modest exterior and interior, but impressive food and service. The restaurant offers a wide selection of meals, particularly for breakfast, including omelets, scramblers, skillets, sandwiches, and sweet treats from the griddle. Diners have raved about their meals, including the Farmer scrambler, Mexican skillet, Irish omelet, and chicken salad on a croissant. The service is attentive and polite, and the restaurant is very clean. Guests praise the large portions, with many leaving full and with leftovers for another meal. The pancakes are described as melting in the mouth, and the breakfast potatoes cooked to perfection. The front check-in desk has been noted as needing better organization, but the waitstaff is friendly, fun, and prompt. The place is popular, so waiting is common, but overall, it remains a good spot to eat. Visitors also mention the Chorizo omelet as good, and the food at very fair prices makes it highly recommended. The staff is described as super friendly and attentive, providing an excellent experience for those traveling through Chicago or local diners alike.
