My 5 star review is based on service alone. The first night we got in, it was later. I thought it was too close to kitchen cut off for us to cone in and eat. The server and bartender welcomed us in. Both were amazing, but Shannon went above and beyond. She told us the next day was her birthday. Our daily goal was to go back and celebrate with her. Service 5 star. Been coming here for years and it is always a good time. The staff is friendly and efficient. The pool table is free, and so is the trivia. Great selection of food and drinks. And fun local history on the walls. Slainte!
The fried green beans were excellent, the clam chowder was surprisingly enjoyable, and the side salad was fresh and satisfying. Unfortunately, the fish Reuben was a complete misstep. The sandwich featured blackened whitefish served with the skin still on, which was both unexpected and unappealing. The portion of fish was thin to the point of being nearly undetectable, its flavor completely lost beneath an overwhelming layer of coleslaw. At times, it was difficult even to tell...
