My coffee was 15 dollars. One coffee.
The quality of food was okay. The bartender could use training on how to make a martini. I was expecting a more romantic setting but there was a lot of noise from people coming and going in resort. I wouldn't likely go back to dinner, maybe a quick lunch.
We dined here for lunch once during our stay and the lunch was fine, service was good. We went on New Year's Eve for the buffet and to say it was bad and overly priced is an understatement. The adult price was $48 and kids 9-17 was $43 and the food was bad. Definitely not worth it.
This was a pleasant surprise, good food and value for our money. Nice quite atmosphere and very attentive service.
We had a truly wonderful family dinner at Lakeview. The chicken tenders were something special—crispy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service stood out as well; the staff was attentive, warm, and made us feel right at home. What made the evening even better was the atmosphere—relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for enjoying time together as a family. From the food to the service, everything came together to create a memorable dining experience that we'll definitely look forward to repeating.
Coffee Barista pretty inattentive. people waiting in line and she was on her phone. plain black coffee 6 bucks with tip.

Usually, the drinks are good. But the food is usually covered with grease. I just got a sandwich from there and it had two hairs on it, and they were not mine. Food seems overpriced for what you get. But I love their drinks!

Very nice happy hour specials! We enjoyed the lake views and our server, Connie, was excellent!
Unfortunately 2 stars is being generous. Ordered a Southern Comfort Manhattan and it was served with Jim Beam. Ten minutes later they served what I ordered. Then, for dinner, I ordered NY Strip Steak, wild rice, and french fries. When my dinner arrived at the table it included the NY Strip Steak, vegetables, and cheesy mashed potatoes. They got my cocktail AND my dinner wrong. We have been owners at the Shanty Creek Resort for 20 years and used to enjoy going to the Lakeview for a nice quiet classy dinner. Not any more. It has been turned into a bar with multiple TVs and the noise level was extremely loud. Not only from the TVs but from the clientele in the dinning room. That will be our last dinner at the Lakeview.
Made a reservation noting it was my anniversary and requested a nice table location. Arrived to find tables largely empty but the bar was lively. Shortly after ordering apps and wine the hostess sat an 8-top of loud golfers next to us. The waitress then took a tremendous amount of time to bring our bottle of wine. The most expensive bottle on the menu (Napa) was the only one worth ordering with a markup of only about 75%. Others were very, very cheap bottles marked-up 200%-400%. The appetizers were the highlight of the meal. My wife's steak was then very sadly over-cooked and the potatoes had clearly sat far too long under a heat lamp.

2 in our party had the "largest" piece of salmon ever, one had "most lean" slice of prime rib and I had a really tasty meatloaf dinner. Our server "Grumpy Old Lady" goes above and beyond. Steak bite starter with horseradish sauce is amazing. All was outstanding.
Our initial goal was to sit in front of the fireplace. I spoke with someone earlier in the day who said the fireplace would be fired up but failed to tell me there were no tables in front of the fireplace, even though my reservation requested that. I'm very disappointed with the misinformation. The buffet takes up most of the room where it should be a nice experience for customers to sit by a roaring fire. Our waitress did not know English very well and couldn't explain questions we had about some of the dishes. No olives for a martini! ???? What? No olives? Sorry but servers should know the menu and be able to explain it and answer anything asked since we are in the United States. Only upside was the beautiful sunset! I don't think we will be back for a while or at least until positive changes are made!
I have allergies and barista gave me a different drink than I ordered. When I said something she called me crazy in Spanish.

There was a Lions game at the same time, so it was pretty noisy in the restaurant. Also, one meal wasn't ready at the same time with the other five, only 10 min later. Other than that, all was good - delicious food, very nice waitress.
Loved it here! We stopped for a coffee but left ready to book our stay! We fell in love with the views and atmosphere!
