A hotdog sounds good on a cold day like today. It's now called Casa Amado Taqueria now. Ordered a vegan Sonoran atomic dawg, a regular Sonoran atomic dawg, chicken quesadilla, 2 chipotle chicken tacos, mushroom taco, chips and salsa and a side of guacamole. Some good soft GF buns would make it less gluttonous and better for me too. The chips were fresh and crunchy, a tad greasy. The green salsa verde is spicier than the smoky red salsa. After hearing great things, I decided to try Atomic Dawg for lunch one day. The food turned out great and service was super fast. I was also very impressed with how responsible they are during this time of social distancing. It's not a very large place, so they make the customers feel safe by spacing out their orders and offering to deliver your food to your car. I'll definitely be returning.
Best hot dogs ever... Period. I grew up in Chicago and have always loved the Chicago style dog. I've been to several hot dog joints around the Chicagoland area, none compare to Atomic Dawg. Having tried the Coney style at many places around Detroit (including Lafayette), I think Atomic Dawg does it best. The quality of their ingredients is what does it for me, and the service has always been great!
