Great bar, food is great and the ladies are on top of it.
Good service and food
We dined in a couple days ago for the first time. The food was absolutely amazing! I tried the Yum Yum burger and my husband ordered the Reuben. Our waitress was very nice. However I felt bad for her. It looked like only her and one other server were waiting on all tables which were full. We rarely saw her and our drinks were never refilled. Verna's Bar and Grill in Newport, MI offers really good food for a really great price. One of the best burgers in a very long time is the smash burger, which is fresh meat, juicy, with a quality bun toasted on the grill, and comes with potato chips. Fries are hot and crispy, and a Coke comes in a huge frosty mug. The CHEESECAKE ROLL is very very delicious and pairs well with an Angry Orchard. A regular customer had a chef salad that was the best up to date, with a perfect meat-veggie ratio. The service is always amazing; the waitress, who is also bartender and cook, is on top of it, very friendly, and great with time management. It does get super packed since it is a small space, but the food is always great. The bartender's grandmother gave pieces of candy to a child, making his day.
