Verna's Bar and Grill in Newport, MI offers really good food for a really great price. One of the best burgers in a very long time is the smash burger, which is fresh meat, juicy, with a quality bun toasted on the grill, and comes with potato chips. Fries are hot and crispy, and a Coke comes in a huge frosty mug. The CHEESECAKE ROLL is very very delicious and pairs well with an Angry Orchard. A regular customer had a chef salad that was the best up to date, with a perfect meat-veggie ratio. The service is always amazing; the waitress, who is also bartender and cook, is on top of it, very friendly, and great with time management. It does get super packed since it is a small space, but the food is always great. The bartender's grandmother gave pieces of candy to a child, making his day.
