“We dined in a couple days ago for the first time. The food was absolutely amazing! I tried the Yum Yum burger and my husband ordered the Reuben. Our waitress was very nice. However I felt bad for her. It looked like only her and one other server were waiting on all tables which were full. We rarely saw her and our drinks were never refilled. We were there an hour and a half, 25 minutes of that was simply waiting for the check. It is a great place! But maybe plan to be there a while if you do go.”

“This is a neighborhood spot. It's a dive. It's the place to go when you just want to relax and have fun. No frills, nothing extraordinary, except for the fact that you can just have basic food and drinks with friends and neighbors. I showed up alone, got a damn good drink at a damn good price. Treated like I lived next door. Friendly people, honest food and prices. I'll definitely be back (again again as I continue to when I'm in the area)”

“New customers. This is our second time ordering. Honestly one of the best pizza places. Most places are thin and cheap in topping, flavorless. Not Sammy's. These pizzas are heavy, loaded with toppings and so damn delicious. You're missing out if you haven't given this place a try. The Taco Pizza is my favorite.”

“Usually I don’t comment on fast food but this experience was exceptional with our subway server Brenda! She is absolutely a joy to talk to and the service is immaculate! She was so accommodating and her portions was how subway should be serving their subs!

“Came up to Monroe for another spot, but was craving coffee. Found the cutest moody coffee shop I’ve ever seen! I’m a bookish girl and the vibes inside were immaculate. Staff were v friendly and let me modify one of their specialty drinks with no hassle. Definitely worth the stop if you’re close by! Will be coming back next time I’m in town.”

“Service was pretty good all in all ... not much of a menu but I honestly didnt look before hand but the subs were tasty. I didnt take picture but definitely could use a make over. I think the thing that bothered me the most was a cash and credit surcharge right on the menu. Nothing like getting charged more by the bar to pay more interest to the credit card companies”

“Tried it for the first time and it was amazing! I got medium heat and to me it was the perfect ratio of spice and flavor. Fries were amazingly seasoned and the mac and cheese was very good. My mozzarella sticks were hot so they had a nice cheese pull. All my food reheated nice as well. My boyfriend got the Dave's hot trio and he says it was so good. Would definitely come back!”

The service was great, the lady taking our order was friendly, and had patience with us, as it was our first time there and we had questions, we really appreciate her kindness! Had a outstanding sandwich named the Smokestack OMG. Corned Beef, Ham n Turkey on Toasted thick Greek Bread with Cheese and sauce. A true gut stuffer, could barely finish it. She had the half Deep Fried Chicken spot on delicious. Marvelous Bean n Ham Soup made in house. This folks a Downriver Gem , place been a restaurant over 80 years with different names. Easy to find just a hundred yards off I-75 the Rockwood exit. Spotless clean everything and friendly staff, a must visit.
