The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and had that perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and crust. They kept everything stocked and hot, and the overall experience was great. “As we waited for blood work to get done for my son, we decided to go in and get a snack.
My son has autism. And immediately about coming in, he says, wow, this is so cool
He has never been into a bar.So it was his first visit.We took pictures by the sign outside just to learn that they were going to close.
I am glad we got to stop in at least one time. And they made my son's day. The bartender's grandmother gave him pieces of candy and they laughed and joked with him.It was great
He's even flirted with a waitress in his own way. Thank you for a very nice time.This was about a week ago”

“This is a neighborhood spot. It's a dive. It's the place to go when you just want to relax and have fun. No frills, nothing extraordinary, except for the fact that you can just have basic food and drinks with friends and neighbors. I showed up alone, got a damn good drink at a damn good price. Treated like I lived next door. Friendly people, honest food and prices. I'll definitely be back (again again as I continue to when I'm in the area)”

“New customers. This is our second time ordering. Honestly one of the best pizza places. Most places are thin and cheap in topping, flavorless. Not Sammy's. These pizzas are heavy, loaded with toppings and so damn delicious. You're missing out if you haven't given this place a try. The Taco Pizza is my favorite.”

“A touch pricey but it’s excellent. I waited over 10 minutes in an empty dining room with only a couple online orders but got an apology. Food was perfect. The only miss is charging guests for sauces. Don’t do it or keep it lower than 1.50 for 2oz cup. Your team that day cared about your brand .”

“Oh Happy day, this place closed months ago and was put up for sale. This great Greek family just reopened Monday, we had to visit. Yes same family, Ma & Pa with the daughter welcome all those long time customers with a smile. Thanks Sidney our superstar waitress, you a keeper. Check they Facebook page everyday for Specials. Had a outstanding sandwich named the Smokestack OMG. Corned Beef, Ham n Turkey on Toasted thick Greek Bread with Cheese and sauce. A true gut stuffer, could barely finish it. She had the half Deep Fried Chicken spot on delicious. Marvelous Bean n Ham Soup made in house. This folks a Downriver Gem , place been a restaurant over 80 years with different names. “The food was delicious! Had a bunch of people so we shared stuff along with a couple of personal items.
We had: 2 mashed potato pizzas with extra potatoes; a chicken fajita pizza; a Reuben dipster; an original dipster; antipasto salad; a grilled chicken salad; and we took home 2 subs for later (haven't had those yet but I'm sure they'll be awesome 😎) EVERYTHING was yummy!!!
The best part is that they are wheelchair accessible. There's a ramp to get into the building and the manager moved tables around so we could get the wheelchair in comfortably. ❤️❤️❤️ I'm not sure the bathroom would be easy to navigate with the chair but fortunately that wasn't a worry today.
Would definitely recommend!”
