We drove From down state and out of our way to have Lunch on our way further North. We checked on line to make sure they were open. When we arrived we found out that they are closed for a special event. Wish they would have posted that information on line! Lesson learned, don't rely on the web or FB, CALL first...

So I have a few in a bar in NC snd decide I was going to stop by when in MI. Well after hrs of driving I made it. It's a nice spot I'd return if close butt Grand Rapids to too far.
Really cool place. Pizza was good, the flight of mead was great.

The best mead in Michigan. So good I was willing to drive 2 hours out of my way to pick up a couple bottles. Unfortunately they had decided to close the store early so my time was wasted, even when I called (they did pick up) I was informed that they had closed the register and I should come back tomorrow.

Visited on a blustery and snowy winter day and enjoyed the place mostly to ourselves. Mead and beer was great and unique. Food was super tasty (deluxe burger, poutine and artikan pizza - recommend them all). We will be visiting again in the summer, if not before. Live music on fri/sat seems like it would be a great venue to catch some good jams.

Not a lot of restaurants to choose from in the middle of the woods. So we drove 45 minutes to check out St Ambrose Cellars. Well worth the drive . Jo was amazing and took the time to help us even though she was short staffed. Great warm atmosphere on a snowy night.
