We celebrated our civil wedding dinner at Bella Piatti, and we truly couldn’t have chosen a better place. 💍 The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was perfectly prepared; the drinks and wine were excellent, and the service was outstanding—warm, professional, and attentive throughout the entire evening. As a very special touch, we were surprised with complimentary desserts to celebrate our new marriage, which made the night even more memorable. 🍰✨ Bella Piatti was the perfect setting for such a meaningful occasion. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it for celebrating special moments. 🍷🌹

The food was good. The menu needs a refresh. Our server was great. However the hostess is so rude and curt. Every-time I’ve been here she’s at the front and her demeanor has never changed. Clearly hates her job. The chain “divider” is tacky as hell. What’s the purpose of it?

All I can say is yum! A friend recommended Bella Piatti to me when I was traveling to Birmingham for work and I’m so happy that he did! The restaurant was crowded and I was by myself so I took a seat at the bar. I was immediately greeted by Krissy, the bartender, and she helped me navigate the menu. I tried multiple appetizers - burrata, tiger shrimp and the gnocchi bolognese…everything was amazing! I ended the evening with the bread pudding…wow! Everyone at the restaurant, including other patrons , was so friendly and I can’t wait to return on my next trip. Highly recommend!

More ambiance than food. Chicken dish was way too lemony. Sauce overpowered the dish. Rabbit dish wasn't a favorite. Salad was not included with service, only bread. Other dishes were ordered but no comments were made good or bad. Service was impeccable. Our visit was interesting but not enough to entice my husband and me to return as minimal choices appealed to us.

Always a great experience with great food. This was our third time eating here. We invited my sister-in-law and brother-in-law to join us and had a great time. They enjoyed their food as well. I LOVE the spaghetti busara, but this time that I got it wasn't as great as the first time. It's like something was missing. I don't know if it wasn't buttery enough, or something else, but it just didn't give me that OMG feeling that I had the first time I had it. My husband had the roasted quail and mushroom risotto, and that was really good. They really only need to have one quail for that meal rather than two. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law both had a fish dish and they enjoyed them. Our appetizers were all really good. We had a little leftover of the calamari that my sister-in-law took home for our 13 year old nephew to try (as he had wanted to try calamari), and he really liked it, and now he wants to go to Bella Piatti. 🙂 So, definitely another great experience, and of course we will definitely go back yet again. 🙂

The food- magnificent The service (once you get seated)- amazing! The environment- may be a little packed, but incredible decor and solid vibe
The hostess (older lady) - not friendly if it’s your first time- was rude to my girlfriend the moment she walked in, and felt the need to come to our table and interrupt our conversation to emphasize we were late for our reservation after we had already apologized… and that is why we will most likely not spend our money here again… we wanted to find something more upscale to be our regular Tuesday date night, and her attitude isn’t that. I am sure she is great with the regulars, but if this is going to be your first time, don’t bother unless you want unpleasant vibes.

The food is truly incredible. From the first bite of the house-made pasta to the last spoonful of dessert, everything is crafted with care and authenticity. The dry-aged steak is a standout — cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. It’s one of the best I’ve ever had.
And don’t even think about skipping dessert — every option is decadent and delicious.

This was my favorite place in Birmingham...we celebrated several milestones here with amazing food and service. The last 3 times I've tried to pop in have been beyond disappointing. This winter my husband and I stopped by for a last minute date night at the bar only to be told where we should sit to maximize seating at the bar. We were told we could not sit where we wanted based on maximum seating for other guests to join. We begrudgingly applied to the bartender's snide request and continued to watch her tell other parties where and how to sit...never have I ever experienced this. We said if they get busy we would move to accommodate other patrons, but they insisted we move. We watched a group of 8 try to sit around the bar to her parameters and then quickly realize they did not want to spend any more time there. We ran into that same group at Hyde Park where we all went to eat and have drinks. The second time we tried to pop into dinner we were rudely turned away by the hostess. The third and final straw for us was tonight at 5:15 pm...we popped in to the bar only to be told they were completely full. We inquired if they take reservations for the bar and they said no, it is only for regulars. I hope the regular crowd is worth it for them because I adored this restaurant and now I would not ever recommend it to anyone.
