Hyde Park is quite established, with multiple locations across the country. However, this is my first time trying it, and we had a very satisfactory experience. The ambiance was excellent. It would be a perfect place for a date night, a small celebration, or even a work meeting. However, given the more quiet nature of the establishment, it may not be a first option for having dinner with young kids. Regardless, the service was excellent. They checked on us at the right pace, and the food came at the right time. Plus, the staff gave good recommendations and explained the menu well. We tried Steak Yzerman, a 40 oz Tomahawk (bone counted), and a feature of the day, a 26 oz Bourbon-marinated 41-day dry-aged steak. For sides, we got the roasted brussel sprouts cooked with bacon marmalade. The steak came out medium rare, as requested. One thing I have to note is that the sear on the steak was excellent. It has such a nice crust! To me, the steak is already well seasoned, but others prefer a little bit more salt and pepper. In addition, the meat is very slightly less tender than expected. It's still delicious, though! They have fried onion on the side. The Brussels sprouts were very well cooked, and the bacon marmalade was so indulgent. It didn't make a healthy side, but it sure was scrumptious. On a side note, their bread basket was excellent! I love the soft, warm pretzel sticks and the ciabatta. Overall, the food tasted great. It was a lot of food, and we had no room for dessert by the night's end. The price is reasonable for a steakhouse.

The food was phenomenal steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly, A5 was legit, the Caesar salad was delicious croutons takes it to another level. My only issue was the oysters they served on 3/29/24, they should’ve taken them off the menu for the night the size was very small and immature. This is T he only reason I gave Hyde a rating of 4. Overall great experience service was excellent as well.

DH took me here for my birthday. The experience was a pleasure from start to finish. We have traveled the world. I lived in NYC for decades, and I've gotta say, Nick was one of the best servers I have ever had. He was welcoming, professional and attentive, truly a cut above. We started with a couple of French 75 cocktails and the excellent Crispy Calamari. I had the Classic French Onion Soup. It was better than any I've had, even in Paris. DH had the Salmon Filet, and I had the Petit Filet Surf and Turf. We also had a side of the Potatoes Gratin. All were perfection. The portions were so generous that we had plenty of doggy bags packed up to take home. To finish our meal we shared a fantastic complimentary dessert that was a bit like a small Baked Alaska. The restaurant and adjoining bar areas are spacious but cozy, and beautifully appointed in a traditional style. We can't wait to come back and dine there again!

Dined at Hyde last night and will be the last time. Service was lacking. Our waitress left dishes and glasses on the table and didn't go to move them unless we asked. Food came out slow and was not good. For the money we will go down the street in any direction and get much better food and service. The fact that they charge 2.00 for zip sauce is ridiculous.

My wife took me for dinner Saturday and let me tell you from the min we walked in to the time we left nothing but excellent service and treatment. Food was excellent and delicious. Steak was cooked to perfection. Our waiter Nick was great. The manager came and spent time talking to us about the place. I will go back for sure.

Being right next to the Birmingham 8 don't know how I missed this. Steakhouse isn't first when I'm hungry but Hyde park made me rethink. burgers to aged steaks snd seafood are very well. I had a crab cake that may be the best I ever had. Crispy outside, moist inside with chunks of crabmeat. hibiscis cosmo with a largr citrus bubble over it was tasty. Typical $17 price. Several in our group had salmon and liked it. And we topped the meal off with a $20 slice of 7+ layer carrot cake. It was sooo good. They can be moderate to very expensive depending on what you get and when some early dinner and Sunday times offer special menus. With meal special, drink and split dessert and 20% group tip i spent $80. But I don't expect a steakhouse to be cheap but if they're good I say splurge. They have the dark moody retro vibe and I'm not against itParking: They have a rear lot, street parking and Peabody parking garage next door. 2 hours free parking and free Sundays

Such a great dining experience. Went there to celebrate my husband's birthday and they made it more special. Loved the food, desserts and especially the birthday card signed by their employees :) Highly recommend this place!

OK so I came here For a special celebration. Nevertheless, just to get to the point for the price, I expected more when it came Our food. My significant other order his steak, well done and I ordered mines medium and of course, as you could guess his steak went back twice and was not well done and no point. Mines was more on the rare side, so not to interrupt our night any further, we decided to not send things back again and enjoy our side and proceed on with our night, our server was very apologetic. I wish I remember the name but They were great, which because of that I decided to give them another try in the near future. Hopefully they get some things correct. And hopefully they actually read these reviews to make some things better than that. Great Atmosphere and good customer service which I love almost more than I love food lol

Food wasnt what I expected from a higher end establishment, it was good, but not delicious. Disappointed our bill wasn't correct. We were charged for 2 additional cocktails. I also asked for bacon on my burger, they forgot to add, Server offered to add, I denied again, he brought a side of it anyway (after I had eaten most of the burger, he insisted I take it complimentary, but changed me anyway! Beautiful ambiance and the au gratin potatoes were delicious, but due to the errors in billing and not as high of quality entrees and service that I expected, I'm not likely to return.Parking: Free parking in Bham on Sunday.

Hyde Park was an extraordinary establishment, while providing HALAL Creek stone Steaks. The environment was pristine, it portrays a classical yet modern fine dining restaurant. The service was superior and perfectly balanced. The Food delectable while being seasoned to perfection but the steak is self was slightly over cooked, we had asked for medium well and they proceeded to provide us with well done; It tasted excellent. The Mac and Cheese was delightful. The Chef specifically made me a dessert for my birthday. Thank you so much for the exceptional experience for my birthday. The service and atmosphere were fantastic. Staff were present when necessary and knowledgeable. The food was mediocre given the price and expectations. The salad croutons were soaked in butter and olive oil making them a squishy mess.
