Lucky Detroit Coffee Roasters & Espresso Birmingham

I first got the vanilla bourbon latte and it just tasted like steamed milk. The second time I tried Lucky's, I got a cold brew with whole milk. It tasted okay; however, it definitely did not live up to the value of the cost of $5.45. The prices that this establishment charge is ludicrous. I won't be a patron here.

Today, I visited Lucky in Birmingham and was disappointed with the service. I ordered a two hot drinks, a cheese danish, and a croissant and specifically asked for the baked items to be warmed, but when it was handed to me, it wasn’t warm at all. At all. To make matters worse, the staff member who served me had a bit of an attitude, which made the experience less enjoyable. Although the hot drinks were nicely presented with decorative foam (thanks to a different staff member), I didn’t care for the flavor. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place and I will not visit again.

Came highly recommended. Hard to find, in a strip of stores, on the ground floor of a barber shop with no noticeable sign. Cool place, playing The Who (always a crowd pleaser), comfortable seating and tables, delicious scones (other baked goods looked tasty too), americano very good. Def would come back.

Try the desserts. All are yummy ,

Coffee and food were great but the service was absolutely disgusting. The person behind the counter was so rude and had no care for the person supporting their business.

I ordered over $100 worth of Coffee and they never mailed it

This is a cute little spot, perfect for hanging out, working, or studying. I love the chill vibe! It's very clean and there are many comfortable areas to sit. The only thing I've noticed is, the past few times I have gone, the baristas seem to be rather dismissive and not very friendly. I understand it can be a stressful job, so I don't think too much about it. They are doing a good job either way. Will probably keep coming here on occasion.

I'm glad I did! the baristas recommended a brown sugar latte with pistachio milk and that's what I got, iced. It was phenomenal. Great price point for the quality of the product. Crispelli's pastries. 5 stars, highly recommend and will be back again.

The employees were not friendly. The coffee was fine but definitely not anything special. The pastries were some of the worse ones I’ve had! They were out of many of the things we tried to order. I won’t be back !!

If you are going to get something I would recommend getting pastries as when they are warmed up are amazing, we had some of their specialty lattes which had great flavor but the temps between drinks were so varied it made it hard to enjoy them as a group. The atmosphere was amazing with the decor really lightening the mood although places like by the register was hard to be near even though we weren’t in lunch or morning rush.
