Reservations for birthday dinner. One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Bronzino was perfectly cooked and filleted. Appetizer were fresh labneh, hummus, baba ganoush. Old fashioneds were perfect. Pricey but well worth it. Look forward to going back again. Not a huge issue; however, given the price point, ambiance could be cozier and intimate.
There is a reason this place is a classic staple of Birmingham - it is a 100% consistently perfect meal... amazing food, friendly/helpful staff, and a reliably fantastic dining experience.
This place is absolutely bustling, both with guests and staff, so expect a lively, busy atmosphere. The grill mix plate was solid overall, and we especially enjoyed the hashwi. Unfortunately, the labneh was a bit disappointing more yogurt or missing that signature taste. Parking can be tricky as their lot fills up quickly, so plan ahead. Reservations are definitely recommended.
