The Taco Stand Taqueria Birmingham

The tacos and quesadilla were very good. Fresh and tasty. Lots of meat in the tacos and quesadilla. Plenty of options for meat choices. Big selection different meals. Shay, the guy behind the counter, was very friendly and helpful in explaining their menu.

The food is okay but not real Mexican. It’s a shame. I really don’t recommend eating this food. It has lots of chemicals and bioengineering fake food and dangerous carcinogens to preserve the meats and foods.

These are hands down the best tacos I’ve ever had! The flavor, the atmosphere, and the vibe of the place make it an incredibly enjoyable experience. I’ll be coming back as often as possible—easily the best tacos in Michigan!

I ran in and purchased 2 eight ounce Pico De Gallo … NO Jalapeños were added.
I got home and ate some of the pico and noticed the taste was different ( bland )
I realized that there were no jalapeños in the pico!!
Needless to say I called and asked if they changed the recipe.
They said they forgot to mix them in.???
I usually order from this particular location because I live across the street.
I’ve had other problems also.
Twice I’ve ordered the Taco Stand bowl and requested light chicken and no sour cream that comes on the side as I am lactose intolerant, however they got that order wrong because when I got home, there was sour cream in the bag and it was full of chicken!
I know mistakes are made sometimes and we give allowances for them.
However I wanted my pico to be right.

I got the chorizo quesadilla and a Sidral. The food came out fast and was amazing! The chorizo was delicious, probably the best I've had in a long time.
The prices were reasonable and the interior was clean.

Come here very often, working with a crew of Mexicans i have been to MANY lunch spots. This one is by far top 3. The food taste so fresh and well done. It's very well priced for quality and service. No matter time of day. Always quick service

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican near Birmingham, this place is the best! We tried the chorizo, pastor, campechano, and asada tacos. They are normally served on corn tortillas (yay gluten free!) but had flour for +0.50 more. We dined in and enjoyed sitting by the open window, but many people were picking up take out orders. Would definitely go back!

By far the best take out Mexican fast food in the area, significantly better than the nearby Chipotle or Qdoba. I like the food at the location in Allen Park slightly better but you can't go wrong here.

Parking: Downtown Birmingham, parking can be difficult.

Al pastor fries and a carne asado California burrito. It’s been hard to find Mexican food like this that actually tastes authentic in Michigan and I’m happy to say I finally found it
