They cheerfully made fresh batches of delicious hummus (two varieties) which came with chips and pita bread. I served that, along with two kinds of their fabulous soup, to my dinner guests. “I was blessed by Karen, the owner. I didn't look at the hours. I was just told that I could get superman ice cream there on a cone. When I arrived they were closed. I tapped on the window and explained that I was on my way back to NC and would pay double for my ice cream. Even though they hadn't opened yet, she serviced me and wouldn't allow me to pay her. “I have been to this brewery a handful of times and the beers just keep getting better and better. They have a full line up; lighter options, IPA’s, stouts, sours, etc. Every time I go, they have something better than the last time. Yesterday, I visited the brewery and I am in a straight leg brace and crutches after having knee surgery. James, the bartender, was very courteous and helpful, even going as far as bringing me over an extra padded chair to elevate my leg on without me asking. It’s hard to find great service like that anymore. I highly recommend this brewery to anyone.“

I cannot express enough how refreshing it is was to be at a place where everyone was accepted , validated and safe! The only extra here is a guy playing instruments. So for budget friendly families, get your cider and donuts, head north on Franklin Road, stop off at Kirk in the Hills for some free lessons in beautiful architecture or keep going north on Franklin to Johnson Outdoor Park where you can hike around the lake seeing animals in Rehabilitation ( deer straight ahead, owl to the right of the parking lot. We continued to the cabin in the woods and made the hike around the lake. Beautiful and free!“

• Unexpectedly, very small, downtown location.
• When we walked in it was very busy and we were not greeted. Also, we were unsure where to sit due to tables being used or had stuff on them.
• Only had one guy working. He was very nice and professional. There was way too much expected from just one worker to accomplish. He was amazing, very knowledgeable, and did his very best.

“This has been my local Jet's Pizza for about 10 years now. I usually do pickup and have found that they are consistently on-time and their coupons usually mean I can easily find a good deal to order online. Even if things are busy they're good at giving accurate estimates and dealing with the occasional large order. I will continue to use them regularly.“

The atmosphere was nice and inviting. There were a few people sitting and enjoying their treats, but it wasn’t busy at all.

I tried the pineapple coconut smoothie frozen yogurt, which is both gluten-free and vegan. Unfortunately, it didn’t hit the mark for me—it was really sweet and lacked strong pineapple or coconut flavors. I ended up giving it to the kids. I was hoping it would be closer to the pineapple flavor they had before.

Even though that flavor wasn’t my favorite, I would still recommend Menchie’s! This location was friendlier than the last one I visited, they have a good selection, and lots of toppings to choose from. I also appreciate that they charge by weight, so you can get as much or as little as you want.“
