What a gem this place is! I have spent fourty five plus years as a culinary educator, and my friend, office partner, and pastry chef was from Vance' France, this place is tops!
Bar none, the best bakery west of Paris. The friendly service is amazing, the fresh coffee is excellent, and the crepes are one of a kind. Make sure to get there early in the morning, because the fresh-baked bread and seasonal lemon scone (along with other pastries) are sold out by 9:30 A.M. on most days.
It is friday and I have been to Gildas' 3 times since sunday. Best pastries I've EVER had. Extremely reasonable prices. Different things to try every time I've been in. All WAY above any expectation I had. I cant help but eat every pastry within 20 minutes. They are immaculate. The crepes are mouth watering. So many inclusion choices.
