I was quite a bit disappointed in our food. The kids salmon & hamburger was overcooked. Generally everything our large party ordered (food & drinks) was so-so. We were expecting quite a different experience from one of the sit-down restaurants offered at Boyne. In talking with others afterwards, they had a similar rating.
We had such a great experience at Stein Eriksen's that we ate there two nights in a row. To start, the decor is Alpine, a perfect fit overlooking the slopes. Scott, the host, greeted us so warmly and checked in to make sure everything was going well. Its team members like this that create an experience that is memorable! Rooms are a little dated. But convenient location with large heated outdoor pool and hot tub with good views of the hills/slopes.
Walkability: Everything you need or want is within walking distance. Short walks to it all.
Food and drinks: Handful of bars/restaurants right there within walking distance!
