I FINALLY found a restaurant in SE Michigan that serves a GREEN OLIVE, OLIVE BURGER!! I grew up with the Satellite Restaurant in Lansing Michigan. This burger at Joe Kool's is huge! I tell them to leave off everything but the lettuce tomato and olive sauce!! YUMMY!!!!
The food for the quality was pricey, the attention from the wait staff was sub par at best, cool place to watch a game if you want to wait 45 min to order your food and always want a refill on your drink. Could be the spot if prices lowered and standards were higher for the staff. The only one who seemed attentive was the bartender . You'll probably not be mad at the service at least at the bar.
I ordered the 1/2 pound kool burger med rare with tomato and onion and got a burger cooked medium and no tomato or onion! The soup was oily and thick and too rich to eat…and i love soup! It had chicken and capers in a greasy creamy gravy! For desert i had the turtle cheesecake and that was the best part!
