First visit on a Friday was pretty good, had the fried fish special with baked potato. Second visit a couple weeks ago was seriously not good as we waited an hour or more for our food. Waitress was very pleasant and I actually felt bad for her. Cameron's you need to step it up or i won't be back.

The current owners of a formerly prominent restaurant in Buchanan have horrendously mismanaged the establishment. Despite their claims, it appears that none of the ingredients are fresh, which is readily apparent. Following a conversation with an employee, it was revealed that the owners previously engaged in allegedly illegal practices regarding server compensation. Fortunately, this practice has ceased. Furthermore, the employee described the kitchen conditions as unsanitary and shared disturbing images. It is perplexing that the restaurant remains operational. Additionally, it was disclosed that food is thawed at the beginning of the week, frozen again if unused, and then reused after thawing, which raises concerns about food safety. The only positive about this place is the back deck which was obviously very expensive the owner should have invested that money into his kitchen but is obviously to concerned with visual impressions and not his kitchen which is the life blood of any restaurant. DO NOT EAT HERE!!

I really liked where this restaurant is situated. A nice deck seating area next to a pond. Perhaps if I had been out there it would make up for the service. Waitress was quick initially, the appetizer came out very quickly and we got our drinks. It went down hill from there. We put our food order in and waited a long while for it. Watched people that came in after us get their food first. I asked for a drink refill after waiting awhile and not getting checked on by the waitress, was acknowledged and then had to ask another waitress after waiting another 5 minutes. The food was good, but I felt it was priced oddly. I had a prime rib shaved ciabatta, which was delicious, but the sandwich was small compared to my wife's 1/2 lb prime rib burger and hers cost less than mine. The waitress asked my 10 yr old son if he wanted fries with his (as if it came with it) to find out it wasn't and I was charged $5 for a side of fries. Our food also did not come out at the same time. I want to say more good, but sadly I don't have much other than the food was good.

Love the back deck and atmosphere during good weather! Had the fried chicken. Awesome! Juicy, tasty and perfect. Also tried the rib special, great sauce and very tender!
