The Hut Inn reminds me of the 80s in a great way. You almost expected to be greeted with do you prefer smoking, nonsmoking, or first available. The food was very good and the staff was friendly. I had the liver and onions with coleslaw as a starter. The coleslaw was creamy with a touch of pepper and I loved it. The liver and onions were tender and well cooked. It had a generous portion of Michigan wild rice and the liver was topped with slices of bacon and perfectly cooked onions...
Five stars for the service! I had Kamilah as my server and she was fantastic! Super friendly and attentive. She was the best part of my experience. I tried the Cornish pastry after recommendation from a local and it was meh. Not flavorful.

Stopped in at The Hut Restaurant while traveling through the Upper Peninsula and was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious with generous portions, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel right at home. The rustic lodge atmosphere adds the perfect touch — cozy, welcoming, and full of local charm. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area!
