We always stop here for a meal when we're in the area. The food is always very good and the service too. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great local stop for a quick latte, coffee or tea to go. Also a great sit down meal on the patio or adorable indoor dining room. Healthy options and creative food. Breakfast and lunch both yummy! Matcha latte lovers will be pleased too. Friendly staff and nice alternative to chain restaurants.

What a greeting! The early morning coffee guys that sit on the left when you enter the 505 Cafe were genuinely happy to see and greet us. Unexpected, greatly appreciated! Ha! Awesome! My wife and I came in for coffee and a muffin. This place was clean and inviting. It looks to be well taken care of at the very least. Employees were cheerful and helpful… patient too! First impressions mean so much! Loved it! We grabbed our coffees and French Toast Muffin and took a seat outside at one of the tables in front of the 505 Cafe. Enjoyable downtown morning vibe. On the way out the door, the guys bid us goodbye and wished us well. Cool! Thank you! This was our first time in Clare. I would look forward to visiting the 505 Cafe if I was ever in the area.

I had been to the 505 Cafe about two years ago and it was very good. I went 45 minutes out of my way to have lunch there again. It took a bit to get waited on which was not a huge deal. We ordered two flatbreads and two cups of French onion soup. We waited about 25 minutes and only one flatbread bread came out. This was weird because after I ordered mine, my friend asked which was better between two items and then asked for the flatbread as well. So there was a conversation about it but it was forgotten by the time the waitress reached the kitchen, I guess. She offered to put in another order but we had already waited so long that we decided that would not work. The French onion soup…so awful. It was like buttery water. Not salty, not much flavor. We each had one bite and sent it back. We ordered some toast thinking that would not take very long but it took longer than toast should. We ordered coffee drinks to go (by this time, there was only one other table inside). We waited another 15-20 for our drinks. Then they ended up charging us for the soup we could not eat. Bottom line: Flatbread was really good, coffee drinks were really good but took soooo long, yes a tip was left, no I will not return. Disappointed.

Our second trip to 505 and had positive expectations. Service slow, food tepid. We suspect our server let our food sit for a while before bringing it to our table. She did not check on us after we got our plates, Had to wait quite a while to get the check.

Coffee drinks are great! The food is so so. The omlette filling had raw onions and cold ham. The scrambled egg on top of my biscuit was a chopped up brown mini omlette. Not like any scrambled egg I've ever had- burned and dry. Service was not so good as our waitress was busy at the counter maling drinks and they must have been short handed that day.

At the risk of sounding rude I've been a barista and I'm a little confused as to why I waited 25 minutes for an iced latte during a relatively slow period. Good drinks and food but make sure you've got time.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere . More space than most cafes in the area, so easier to get around with a walker or wheelchair! Great location in a fun and historic downtown. Worth a try!

The food and the staff are wonderful! We rolled in about 30 minutes before closing, which can be quite annoying for staff, but we were treated with welcoming smiles and great service. Did I mention the food was great, too? We will definitely make this a stop whenever we head north!
