I loved the sandwich the corn beef was delicious. Also their homemade swaurkrut is delicious it has a sweet and but smokey flavor to it. I ordered the XL corn beef it wad juicy and flavorful, I also tried their potato and their pasta salads they were good as well. I will come back again they were so nice and respectful. Thanks for the delicious sandwich.
The corn beef was not salty. That was my main concern (due to health reasons). It wasn't tough. Good mild tast. I enjoyed my sandwich. The owner introduced himself when I entered the restaurant. He seemed friendly and was very welcoming. It is very clean and I felt comfortable while waiting for my sandwich to be prepared. The wait wasn't long. Support this local business. It's good.
RJ’s Corned Beef Deli is a true Southeast Detroit institution. Family-owned, friendly, and serving up flavorful corned beef that’s actually juicy instead of dry and overworked. Portions are solid, but expect to pay a premium for the sandwiches. Definitely order ahead if you can — wait times can easily hit 30 minutes or longer, especially during busy hours. Still, for an old-school deli fix, it delivers. It’s where locals eat!
