“The Lakes catered a bridal shower for us today. The food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. We had the Michigan Salad, Firecracker Pasta w/Chicken and Salmon w/Citrus Cream Sauce. The entire experience was outstanding. I've dined in before with my family multiple times and the food has always been delicious. I would highly recommend The Lakes.“

“Best pizza in Michigan. They lost my favorite bartender or she quit, oh well doesn’t stop us from coming. The noise can be a bit overwhelming and the service is very good, but the service staff have never asked me if I was a mug club member or if my name was in the system (if you reach 200 points you get $10 off) and for the amount of money that we have spent in there, we would’ve had $1000 off by now. I didn’t know this secret until recently. The beer is better than average 6.5/10. Their prices just went up this past week. We would always get the pepperoni pizza for $19, now if you order the pepperoni pizza, you can choose two other toppings for $21. I don’t want the other two toppings I just want pepperoni so that’s a bummer that it cost two more bucks for that. It’s a nice spot.“

Being a native metro Detroiter I recall the days of fabulous almond boneless chicken (ABC) from one particular restaurant. 30+ years later, I’m still searching for that taste. This place is pretty darn close. The lunch combo portion was huge, more than enough for two very generous servings. In fact when I picked up the order the bag was so heavy I checked inside to be sure I had gotten the right order. The chicken was tender and breading crisp despite my not eating it for 45 minutes after picking it up. The gravy is the a bit salty neon yellow I recall. The fried rice with a few bean sprouts mixed in was equally good. I did not care for the eggroll, but its importance was marginal. “The only place around here to order sushi from. It's kind of a shame they don't have a dining room, but I'm happy to take all of their food home and plate it up myself. Absolutely delicious, fresh, and they are fast when you order online.“
