I really love traveling in rural areas of Michigan, passing through scenic, small towns like Concord. Recently I was in Concord for business, and I found Mel's Place with a quick Google search. Mel is short for Melinda, and she and her husband Ron are the owners. Mel was my waitress, and she was very friendly and provided great service. I ordered a waffle, two eggs over medium with coffee. All was great.
Everything you look for and expect from a small town Eatery. Just slammed down a western omelette with rye toast.Simply delicious!!!
Kid-friendliness: My son drove his car into restaurant, very welcoming, customer held door for me on way out. Thank you !!

Bikers! Go the extra 1/2 mile for Mel's Place. It's an excellent place to fuel up at the end of Falling Waters trail in Concord. Classic diner food served just the way you like it. Now open Sundays 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. Closed Thursdays. Remodeled several years ago. Where there was plywood paneling it's now exposed brick, a funky chandelier collection, and a welcoming bike rack out front.
