Can't go wrong with Cedarland! The food is delicious and inexpensive! Met up a friend for dinner and the server was friendly and attentive. We all ordered a small tabbouli salad which I feel like the 3 of us could have split one of those! It was the best Tabbouli I've had, very flavorful with parsley, tomatoes, garlic and lemon juice and was not dry whatsoever. We also all ordered sandwiches which were perfect and also had a complimentary lentil soup which was also very good. We also started with the 12 pc falafel which also was tasty. Needless to say, we all left full and with a carryout box. The interior could be updated a bit but I feel like the food and service makes up for that! A must try when in the area.

Tried Cederland since the place I wanted to pickup food at had an hour and half wait time. Thought it was a good idea since they only had a 20 minute wait for pickup. Worst food ever! Save your money and go anywhere else.

I have been eating at Cedarland from the beginning. I always had a great experience, service and the food was always on point. I am visiting Detroit for a wedding and couldn't wait to go to my favorite restaurant. Today I visited and did not have a good experience. The service was terrible. I did not get all of my food items that came with my platter or the substitutions I requested. The hummus tasted like it came out of the can. The food was ok. My server never check to see if we were ok or needed anything until we were finished dining. When I received the check she added 18% to my bill. I do not mind tipping at least 20% for great service. However, in this case I would have left 15% even for bad service. I will not be dining there again.

Cedarland is one of those restaurants that I find myself coming back to time and time again because it's one of the original halal establishments I started going to when options were still limited. The decor is outdated for sure and could use a refresh. That aside, our experience was otherwise very pleasant. We ordered the Cedar feast with 4 of grown adults and we still had plenty leftover. Portions are very generous and everything on the platter was delicious. Our waitress was great and checked on us throughout our meal. Reliable service and great food is why I return.

The food was absolutely unconsumable. The falafel was raw and the fish was flavorless. When we expressed our concern the owner was so rude to us and told us nothing was wrong with his food and that he didn't invite us to eat at his restaurant we came by ourselves. That is not how you treat your customers.
