First time having authentic afghani food and it did not disappoint. If you’re a first timer like my husband and I were, we recommend getting the combo for 2 which had a lot of their meats/chicken on it to sample. We also got their Aush soup—yum!!! So yummy and light. We also got the Bolani which is similar to a stuffed flat bread we had in Saudi.
Brought back memories of eating food in Afghanistan, very authentic food, had Qabuli Palaw, Shammi Kabob, Mantu (dumplings) Bolani (Bread stuffed with potatoes and chives) the staff is very friendly and the owner gave us special attention. I would give them 10 stars…
I'm a regular for their naan sold at the store on Warren St. for a few years and so excited to see the family expand the business to include a restaurant. Place was surprisingly busy around mid-day on a Sunday and I ordered the Chapli kabab and Qabuli Pulao that were an instant hit for a family of opinionated picky eaters. Fresh, quality products, and a taste of back home that we so needed in Metro Detroit. 5 stars!
