Although the food was amazing, fresh and tasty our visit was marked by disappointing service, attributed to the restaurant's tipping system. Despite the impressive menu, delays and indifferent staff hindered our enjoyment. The automatic gratuity system seemed to discourage attentive service. We came 30 minutes before they close and they were kind enough to still serve us, while we were ordering we felt rushed and pressured to quickly order, but we understood and hurried the order so we don’t take up much of their time. After we ate we cleared up the table (which is a common courtesy) and asked for the bill. The lady who was billing us gave us the chip machine before the bill and we didn’t think much of it and tipped $24. Once we got the whole paid bill we realized they put in +$24 as a mandatory tip, therefore we ended up paying $48 tip in total. Im from Canada visiting the states and I understand the tipping culture, but $48 in tip for workers yelling at us and eating food in a rush wasn’t worth it.

I have been coming here ever since I was little. I love the customer service, and the food is top tier. I definitely recommend it 100% for others to try it out as well.
Never ordering from them again.. who forgets to give u bread with baba ghanoosh $40 order. No tahini .. extremely cheap on everything . Time to move on

I always go to Cedarland when I visit Dearborn (usually grocery shopping a few blocks away). The lentil soup is definitely a must have. Cedarland has a typical old diner vibe and have always found my dining experience clean and enjoyable.
I had the lamb chops with rice. It had pickles, onions, and lettuce on the side. It was soooooo good. Lentil soup was edible. It was a pureed consistency. Wasn't expecting that but it didn't get threw away. Rice was seasoned lightly and very tasty. Lamb chops could've been meatier but still had an awesome taste. It comes with 2 sides that I declined. I was pleased with everything and will definitely visit again. Thanks to the guy who ran the drive thru. He was very professional and nice. I forgot to take a picture I was so hungry.
