“This place is amazing. My friend stopped in and grabbed us a variety to try. I am super picky with quality and taste and always skeptical that these sort of desserts look better than they actually taste.. but NOT the case here. Just wow everything was truly amazing.definitely the best cheesecake we’ve ever had the texture is divine. Everything is not too sweet and just tastes fresh. Which we loved. Definitely will be back for more. The cronut, choc raspberry, double choc, fruit tart and cannoli all 10/10 as well.“
“Lovely cafe right across the street from Orchestra Hall. My daughter plays with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's Civic Youth Concert band so I have time to burn during her rehearsals. Give Thanks is a great place to grab a pasty and coffee. The croissants are butter and flaky. Delicious. The iced latte is out of this world good. I see myself being a frequent customer.“
“We ordered a two tier vegan cake for my daughter’s birthday. It was absolutely delicious!! My daughter is allergic to eggs and enjoyed it… so did everyone else (non-vegans). That was my goal and For the Love of Sugar delivered. I do wish there wasn’t an extra charge for vegan cakes, but we will be back either way because it was a great ordering experience as well.“
“My goodness I have never had such delicious deserts in my life! The customer service was top tier, professional and beyond accommodating to my needs! Not only was the deserts delicious down to last bite but the bakery itself it's just so nice, clean, cozy and all around beautiful atmosphere. It's a big plus that it is Black owned by a Woman!! 10's across the board!!! They have my business along with my family, friends & colleagues for life!! We won't be going anywhere else!“

Try their is ispahan, you’ll change your mind.I consider myself an eclair connoisseur, I’ve tried them in every country I’ve visited and every pastry shop I’ve been to, honestly 10/10 at Gateaux.Knafeh cheesecake….
