love custard company but the quality has gone down significantly over the years. since i've started going six years ago, i've noticed that the amount of custard that you get has decreased. one thing that has really gotten on my nerves recently has been the dubai sundae. when it originally came out, it was decently priced and you got a LOT. now its in a small cup for $9? and there's barely any custard? we come here every sunday but its starting to not be worth it.

Amazing place! I loved my Dubai strawberry cup. Nice staff, too. Parking can be a bit tricky, but spots open up eventually. Great place for some good custard!

I had the turtle and there was too much chocolate at the bottom. I also asked for extra nuts. I did get them but should have specified only on the icecream. A lot of the extra nuts were mixed in the chocolate.

UPDATE 7/2025: Still my favorite custard and shop. I love that they have an outdoor sitting area for folks to sit and relax and enjoy their delicious dessert items. Ice cream pies and quarts of custard to go and pre-made. I enjoy the smooth and creamy texture of the custard! Way better than soft serve! One way in under the Pavilion for entrance and they would prefer you to take the other door to exit which can make it easier to get out if it is a little busy since the entrance hallway is a little small. This place needs a Drive Thru!!!!

Workers need to get their priorities straight went in with my bf yestersay was just me and him in there with 2 workers the heavier white one with curly dirty blonde hair was so pretty occupied with what ice cream and how much of what she wanted for her birthday party to help us then 5 other people walked in while she sat there and waited for the poor other girl to do it all for her while she just sat there

Somethings never change and I’m so glad that’s true. JJ‘s will always and forever be one of my favorites. I live very far away, but whenever I’m in Michigan, I really love going for the famous lemon custard ice cream, and a waffle cone. I can taste it right now :-)

Came here with some locals while on vacation. It was a hot, humid day and a sweet treat seemed necessary! My friends assured me the ice cream was good and their little kids knew what they wanted. I had a very hard time choosing what to get but I ordered a dole whip (silly that they then had to ask me which flavor...as far as I know, Dole sells pineapples, not mangos or anything else...) and it was yummy. Everyone else got different ice creams. The portions were very generous. They seating area was big enough for lots of people and was equipped with cleaning wipes to clean up any melted ice cream (the group before us hadn't done so, but at least the wipes were there so we could clean the table.)

Pro's: They have pistachio bits to put on top of the custard. I love that.
Con's: Literally no flavor at all. We got ashta & pistachio cake batter, and both had no flavor. There was the slightest hint of flavor in each, we were severely underwhelmed and disappointed.

Plenty of options for everyone, quality ingredients and great service. I got the brownie supreme and it was peak. My husband got a spiced apple sundae and that was super unique and he loved it.
