Got a black forest cake here and it was unfortunately pretty disappointing. Dry crumb, and used the thick oil based whipped topping instead of whipped cream. Have had better cakes from grocery stores, and for cheaper..

The actual pastries looked pretty good though, but didn't try any.
Went here and got a decent amount of pastries amd brought some family with us. Usually when we go here they put it in a box and tie it but instead put it inside of a white paper bag. Not as great as it used to be in our opinion but not the worst either.
Founded in 1971 by the Teftsis family, if you're in Greektown, the must-visit destination after dinner is without a doubt Astoria Pastry Shop.

The moment you push open the door, you will definitely be wowed by the most iconic feature of the shop is a long, seemingly endless row of sparkling clean glass display cases, with more than 100 dazzling desserts and cakes beautifully arranged, somehow it's a jewelry store rather than a pastry shop.
