Went to this restaurant to grab some food at 11:45, but in typical Dominican fashion it wasn’t open on time. I came back 30 minutes later and the place was open (Gotta do better people). The food itself was good, so if you don’t mind the wait for the food and can deal with the island time for operating hours, this is a good place to eat.
We tried Dominican food for the first time at Asty Time and were really impressed! The meals were delicious with great quality and generous portions. All the meats were tender on the inside, crispy on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. First time visiting this establishment. I ordered a pick up order. I arrived at the designated time. It took 5min to be acknowledged. Retrieved my order and headed home. I ordered the Pollo frito with rice and a Empandas de res. The chicken was fried so hard it was 50% inedible and lacked flavored as described by both reviewers and the menu description. The empandas on the other hand were flavorful and flaky. Don't know what I missed but I probably won't visit again...
