I don’t know why people are saying the avocado toast is the only vegan option. They have an amazing vegan breakfast hash that is really flavorful and super filling. I took a screenshot of the item via their online ordering so everyone can see the ingredients. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with my order of the hash with no mushrooms. My partner had it as is. Seriously, give it a try. It is a great breakfast!

Basically I waited last for my food and I was the first person in line at the restaurant so I’m kinda disappointed and on top of that their attitudes seemed a lil racist and snooty so yea it’s a no for me

Ordered a brunch burger. “Served with a side of hollandaise” Burger comes.. with no hollandaise. Asked the expo, and she said “I checked, we don’t have that anymore”
Real bummer, cause the burger was great (could have been outstanding) - but I ordered it specifically for the sauce, and am super disappointed to be paying food cost for a sauce they don’t have.

First of all, it was insanely busy but so were all the other places we tried going to. There was a long wait but that's to be expected downtown the last weekend before school starts at brunch time.
The lemon mascarpone pancakes were insane. My daughter rated her cinnamon roll 8/10. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
This the best places in downtown Detroit it always smell yummy here. I only try and get coffee but then I find myself getting a plate of something delicious stuff is all way friendly and helpful .

Sell out fraud food corporate garbage ? Wow- so so disappointed- this used to be my favorite bakery, and I live in Europe now so- I know good bakeries, and whenever I came to town I would get their organic chocolate chip cookies that I loved- I just picked some up for an offensive $12 for 6!!! I noticed they were not organic anymore- and I almost put them back- but then I brought them back and they were nothing but cheap chemical sugar- like those soft chips ahoy!!! They also claimed to be sea salt and bittersweet chocolate- NO they were waxy, low quality “milk” chocolate- we even tried to heat them up and they basically just melted and couldn’t be cooked any more- i forced myself to eat them with milk- and I felt diabetic-ally sick. Shame on you Avalon- I WILL never support your business again- you are everything that’s wrong with this country, because I actually know this difference and remember when you were ethical and quality.

Spacious and colorful... Feels like an old timey classroom. Plenty of food and drink options to start your day right. I ordered a cortado to be safe and the coffee in it was a little harsh (over roasted, for me) so I'd never order a drip coffee here, but my tuna melt tasted good. Excellent location on the corner with outdoor and indoor seating, by the Qline. Prices a little steep for the food, I thought. Friendly service.
