I had a wonderful experience taking sailing lessons at the club. The program instructors were all long time club members passionate about sailing. After most classes, they bought us beers and shared stories of their sailing adventures. I only took the lessons as I was new in town and wanted to make the best use of the sailing culture in Detroit. If I settle down in the area and end up buying a sailboat, this is the club I would want to join.

I enrolled in the Adult Learn to Sail program, and the first class has me absolutely hooked! The Ultimate 20 boats we're learning on are incredibly responsive, and I already can't wait to get back on the water. The shared passion for sailing among the instructors and everyone at BYC is great to witness. Eagerly looking forward to our next class!

The shrine of Naughtical Culture. New club house, new food. Everyone was very nice and good. I tried the hummer; which is a drink, invented there by Sir Jerome Adams & it was perhaps one of the best drinks I’ve ever had.

I dislike the menu it’s not even close to how it used to be 10 years ago. They are crashing. I miss the old staff and the old food. They over cooked everything my family ordered. The appetizers are over priced and not that good. The calamari really bothers me. Also the hostess has an attitude that’s not favorable.
