I've frequented the Library numerous times but recently visited the restaurant twice this month with friends -- and it just gets better and better. Our server Jonathan S. was not only friendly and welcoming but extremely knowledgeable about the menu, history of the building, and on-site offerings such as the upstairs cigar and billiards lounge. Had the most luxurious ribeye and octopus of my life. Detroit Club is quickly becoming my favorite place in the city.

Great spot with plenty of history and delicious food. The Ahi Tuna & Burrata salad are great starters and the Sea bass was spot on delectable.

Only reason for 4 stars was service could have been better.

Wine was uncorked and poured prior to being served, & slight mix up on the wings seasoning. But I’d encourage some training for how to present and serve wine.

However the ambiance and setting are hard to beat in the heart of Detroit. Will definitely revisit if I make it to the Motor City again.

Johnathan and Natalie were excellent!! Johnathan was so informative about the history of the building and the restaurant, and Natalie's smile lit up the room while giving us excellent service!! The drinks were delicious and so was the food. I recommend the wings with lemon pepper. The lemon pepper seasoning was to die for. What made the night, though, was the service.

Had an amazing evening!! We went with 2 other couples . It started out with Eve in the bar, she was so knowledgeable and made us the most amazing cocktails. Then we moved to the dinning area where Keri was our waitress. Her suggestions for wine and dinner were spot on!! She was fun and very attentive to our entire party. Dinner was 5 stars all around , as many of us are foodies. After dinner we followed up with Valerie who gave us a lovely tour of this beautiful Detroit Club!! All in all it was an incredible experience with our friends!! We will definitely be back!! Thank you to the entire staff who made our visit so charming and memorable!!

We went back here for the first time since 2021. For some reason I didn’t think it was called Bohemia then but the waitress said it was. The food was good but there were some issues. They asked if we wanted anchovies in the Caesar salad and we said yes. Then they didn’t put any in it. They brought us some though. The meatball appetizer was really good. The shrimp ceviche had really good flavor but not enough chips. They also charged us for the extra six chips they brought us. The burger was really good. Well seasoned. I’d get that again. The ribeye was cooked correctly and had very good flavor. The problem was it did not come out hot. The compound butter they serve it with did not melt over it. They gave us an extra drink on the house because of it. The espresso martini was average along with the old fashioned. Nothing special for the price. They also charged us for the still water that I wasn’t aware of. Not a huge issue but we thought they would serve still/tap water. We will probably go back.

I had reservations for 7:15 PM on Valentine’s Day and arrived around 7:00. Unfortunately, I ended up waiting in a long line for over an hour and wasn’t seated until about 8:30—on a couch with another couple, where we were casually told, “We have to make friends tonight.” I ordered two non-alcoholic drinks right away, but they didn’t arrive until 20 minutes later. To make matters worse, 10 minutes after that, the bartender rushed over to inform us that the drinks actually contained alcohol!

For the appetizer, it was incredibly plain and didn’t stand out at all. I also ordered the half chicken, which turned out to be a huge disappointment. It was essentially a rotisserie chicken from Kroger that they simply cut in half, and they charged me nearly $40 for it!

While the atmosphere was nice, I would not recommend this place.

Valentine’s Day reservations at 7:30. Arrived at 7:12. Didn’t get seated until 8:34. Standing in line this whole time we were told that we should just go to the bar to get a drink for a while. ??? Was finally seated, service was as best as it could be. Drinks came at 9(ordered drinks and food together). Food came after 9:30. Vodka pasta was pasta water. Lifted up a noodle and it was plain due to how watery it was. $36 to add chicken total for it. I’m a huge foodie no matter what, but couldn’t eat more than two bites and wouldn’t dare to box it up.
I’m never one to make a review, let alone a bad one, but this was very disappointing due to my boyfriend and I’s first valentines together. We traveled here and was extremely disappointed. 2 drinks, 2 entrees- $140. ONLY thing that was good was our server. The atmosphere was amazing so I know this place has more than what we were offered tonight.
