I grabbed a cappuccino and it was A+. Would love to come back to try other menu items. Question for the staff: Is there a bike rack nearby?

be warned if you're coming for a late night coffee & work they don't allow laptops after 5pm. Otherwise the coffee and cocktails are pretty good. vibes are good. wish they had croissants as a french place ?‍?

Omg this place is life customer service was impeccable. The atmosphere is lovely, comfortable and inviting with a laid-back feel. Most definitely go and visit. The only thing I would say is parking is awful because of its location. Definitely is a hidden gem in the Detroit area. Go and visit coffee was delicious and also was the Old fashioned ?

Adorable "underground" cafe. Stopped by in the evening for a bite. Ordered wine along with a Gougeres - a delightful puff pastry with cheese inside. Followed this up with a rich flavorful Quiche Lorraine that did the job. Slam dunk. Would have loved to try a coffee, as the aroma is readily available, maybe next time.

Best coffee shop in the downtown Detroit area and so happy that we’ve come across Cafe Sous! The baristas are so awesome and they all work together as a perfectly paired team. The atmosphere is laidback and chill. The cafe is very clean. Music was very relaxing and played at a sound level. I was able to work remotely from the cafe in peace, surrounded by other remote workers and/or students studying. The Vanilla Latte was impeccable and I can’t wait to return more frequently. Kudos!!

I've loved this neighborhood coffee shop since it opened, and it just keeps getting better with more food and beverage offerings. I love the ties and nod to NOLA, as it's my favorite vacation city in the US! I've had amazing food, coffee, and cocktails from here. And they have one of the best bartenders in town!

This was a perfect spot to study! I ordered at the counter when I arrived and grabbed a table in the corner. The team brought my latte to me quickly and it was served beautifully with a mug and saucer! Coffee shops can be hit or miss but this one was delicious and such a great price. Such a cozy atmosphere with a light buzz of people, perfect for catching up with friends or working on a laptop. I'll have to come back one night for an espresso martini

Personable staff, meticulous attention to food and drinks, great soundtrack. Sit at the bar and have a chance conversation. A great place to unwind.

I love the vibe here. Friendly staff suggested their house made spiced fig syrup for my latte and it was incredible! My only frustration is that seating is so limited. I would have loved to stay and work for a while but the handful of tables were occupied.

Options for Sunday night studying are slim with most places closing quite a bit earlier. Cafe Sous Terre not only meets that need, but also provides a relaxing, quiet, and lowkey environment as well.
