Had a good time sitting in the outdoor seating. Food was good and the service better. Definitely a spot to stop at if you are downtown and waiting a place to relax and enjoy a burger and a brew .
the kitchen is open delightfully late and the food was great. Our server, Asia, was a star and elevated the experience. She was pleasant, funny, attentive, and efficient and I would give her 6 stars
It was cool to visit Checker Bar again after so long, but it just doesn't feel the same. The Checker Burger being $14 just feels wrong when this place used to have dive bar prices, but I understand why the price had to go up. That being said, neither the fries nor the burger tasted anything like the Checker Burger from years ago. Will probably come back again soon when the Clubhouse is open and try the Napalm Breath again as that was always my favorite.
