My first visit to Checkmate was nothing but amazing. Eve the bartender was amazing and very informative regarding the drinks and food at Checkmate. The entire staff were nice. Shout out to the chef on the amazing jerk wings and lemon pepper wings. A great spot to visit. Thank you for the wonderful service.
I really enjoyed my visit. The food was excellent and the vibe was superb, and overall I had a very good time. There were just a couple small things I wanted to mention. The silverware at our table came out dirty and had to be replaced, the wait time after ordering felt a bit longer than expected, and I also noticed I may have been overcharged by 38 cents on my bill. I just wanted to share this feedback, but overall it was a very nice experience and I would definitely come back.
Whoever the bartender was on the night of 04/17/2026 took an extra 10 as a tip on top of what I already gave her. The club itself was cool but that’s the type of stuff that make people not trust buying a drink with your card
