I am very pleased to say that Chick's bar and grill, a Warrendale staple, is now under new ownership and major changes are on the way. Ron, new owner and veteran Detroit Fire Fighter, is focusing the new and improved Chick's bar on good food, atmosphere and drink specials. I had the privilege of meeting him on a recent visit one or two ago weeks during one of their free comedy shows. Had a wonderful time, enjoyed some good food and drinks and didn't break the bank....
Had Chick's (takeout) fish last Lent. What I remember most is that I could not believe how it smelled in my car while I was driving home. I used to work at a fish-fry place another lifetime ago and it sure didn't smell like this! My mouth watered the whole drive back. Finally, eating it at home I was not disappointed ... Mmmmmmm, great!
