I'm not usually one to complain about food service because I know how it is. I usually love this place so much. One of my favorite places to go. But Captain jays fish & chicken you are a disappointment. I ordered 2 combos. Mac and cheese, and a strawberry crunch cake. I didn't receive fries with 1 combo. I got cheesecake instead, which I can't even eat because I'm lactose intolerant. Mac and cheese was half full and cold out of the fridge. Captain Jay's Fish & Chicken is a dated place with bullet proof glass that can be off-putting, but the food is good. The food is hot, freshly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. The wings and fries taste great, but they are very stingy with their sauces and lemon pepper; customers have to ask multiple times for a cup of hot sauce or lemon pepper and still might not get it. The half fruit punch, half lemonade has a very good unique flavor, though the large lemonade is medium at best. The food is a bit overpriced if you get anything other than daily specials. Staff is kind and helpful, and service was excellent. However, one visit had chicken that tasted like molded chicken with dark spots.
