Colombo's Coney Island Restaurant is a classic Detroit diner that feels very authentic and local. The place has a simple, old-school atmosphere where you can sit down anytime and enjoy comfort food. It’s known for serving traditional Coney Island dishes and breakfast all day.

I stopped by for a quick meal and ordered a Coney dog with fries. The food was simple but really satisfying, and the portions were generous for the price. They also have great breakfast options like omelets and hash browns if you’re looking for something hearty.

The service was friendly and the vibe felt very casual and neighborhood-style. Overall, Colombo's is a solid spot if you want classic diner food and a taste of Detroit’s Coney Island culture.

My first time here for a late night breakfast sandwich and I was not disappointed. I ordered a BLT and it was good. The cashier/server was nice.

We have come here regularly for 10+ years. We overlooked most of the very real problems because the prices were affordable.... I'm a solo parent and am low income. The prices are too high! $9 for 2 eggs, hashbrowns, toast, and sausage! We won't be coming anymore. My daughter (who was home from college) and I decided that Columbos is not worth it. I spent $25 for two breakfasts, a coffee, and tip. I still had to deal with all the issues from the past.....subpar service, something green in the butter (believe it was a veg..otherwise we would not have stayed), fruit flies, broken down boothes, a table next to us left because of the flies, and the booth not having been wiped down and wondering if I will get food poisoning. The coffee was decent as always. I will be finding another spot for my diner needs. If you are going to charge so much you need to upgrade! Level up! I would also like to note that once upon a time I owned a restaurant with my ex-husband. I understand the constraints. For that much money I will go somewhere I don't have to overlook so many problems. I guess until I find another spot we will go to Duly's. We always came to you because we like to have a table but I guess until I find a new spot it will do

I tried a classic coney meal (Loose burger) here and was very disappointed when stuck my fork into it. For one it was made with corn beef instead of real beef but decided not to give a bad review and give them a second chance. The next time I came for breakfast and ordered biscuits and gravy and received some sort of mystery meat in the sausage gravy along with just a bad quality of canned gravy. I was extremely disappointed. It's worth noting that both times my waitress was nice!
