Fun, vibrant, and fresh atmosphere. Outstanding drinks! Great burger. The spring pasta was just okay—a bit too heavy & garlicky. The smoked fish dip was good, but I’ve had much better.

The food was phenomenal! Everything from the goat cheese, salad to the burger was so fresh and well made. Our server Taya was really sweet and did a great job of explaining the menu and giving suggestions. Highly recommend for fresh and locally inspired food.

This place is great. I had the Fish n Chips and it was probably the best Fish N chips I have ever had. Perfectly breaded and cooked along with an amazing homemade tartar sauce. Highly recommend the fish dip as well. Overall, a great experience.

Down a long street along the canal past tidy homes you eventually come to an old bait shop on the canals. Now it's a restaurant. Remarkable transformation of a cement block building into a bright open space. Plastic and heaters allow the adjacent outdoor patio to be open all year. Their story is farm and table with rows of garlic hanging over our table and fresh herbs crowding the windows. Casual friendly staff. Games and books by the bar. Oh, and the food. Vickie's turkey Rueben with kimchi was an indicative dish with good results. My pea and garbanzo stew with lamb meat balls was a special that I would not order again but it was fine. They offer one dessert, a fl oh less chocolate cake with fresh whipped cream and raspberry glaze. We should have each ordered one instead of sharing - it's that good.

What a delightful lower Eastside by-the-canals, experience. Easy, free parking in the lot or on Riverside street. We were welcomed and seated by the hostess. There is inner seating; patio seating that's covered and heated, and in good weather - al fresco dining. The decor is quirky and beautiful. I particularly liked the soon-to-be-completed mirror mosaic. The beverage menu is unusual - lots of interesting and delicious NA (non-alcohol) options as well as smaller, but no less adventurous wine, beer and cocktail offerings. We enjoyed the white fish dip and toast appetizer. I LOVED the tomato bisque. My Saag Paneer with tofu, cheese cubes, basmati rice and naan was plentiful and very good. Prices are entirely reasonable for city dining. Our server, Glenn Pierce P was excellent. He checked on us frequently and offered good recommendations. All in all, a most wonderful experience!

Coriander kitchen is a bit of a quirky place that serves food and drinks on its own terms. A former bait shop they serve seasonal including from their own farms and supporting other local & regional meat, cheese, bean producers. The decor is downtown river funky chic. Canal side dining is available and they have lots of special dinners . My friends enjoyed a burger, fish and salad main meals with a couple of spectacular seasonal drinks and they both want to return

Walked in without a reservation on a Monday and this place was busy! The parking lot was full but there was ample street parking available. Even though it was busy, I I was still able to be seated immediately and our server was attentive and kept the drink refills coming. The farm marg is not to be skipped. I originally came here because I saw a post on Instagram that said they feature a new grilled cheese every Monday. Tonight's grilled cheese (3/4/2024) was Michigan Brie, truffle cheddar, roasted rosemary potatoes and fresh arugula and it was wonderful. You're able to enjoy the back patio area with your drink before or after dinner and I highly recommend it, it's such a relaxing area.

Have been to coriander twice. The setting is awesome, super cool eclectic vibe right on the canal, and a totally different side to Detroit than most see. Staff is friendly, and good ways definitely fresh! The second time we went it was in the fall, and to some degree I know is out of their control but the bees were EVERYWHERE inside and out, in the dining room and the kitchen. Definitely something to keep in mind if dining in the fall. We ended up leaving without finishing our food.. but will be back in a different season!
