If you’re anywhere near Vernon & Military, get yourself to Coronado’s Taco Truck—no debate. I grabbed two tacos (carne asada + chorizo), a queso birria taco, and a quesadilla and every bite slapped. The asada was smoky and juicy, the chorizo perfectly spiced (not greasy), the queso birria rich and cheesy with crisp edges, and the quesadilla had legit cheese pull. I’ve had a decent sampling of Detroit area taco trucks; plenty of them hit the spot, but the only one I crave is Coronado’s.
The birria consommé is a punch of flavor, quesabirria obviously the bomb.
Never in my life would I think to hype up a chicken quesadilla but, yup, they make chicken and melted cheese taste greater than the sum of its parts.
Salsas are all on point. Only thing I wouldn’t get again is the horchata, and that’s probably more...
