Stopped in to get some food with a friend before there was any line at all. Right after we put in an order for some wings, three huge groups of people came in after us. After an hour of waiting, everyone who arrived after us (like 20ish people) got their food before us. Thinking maybe our order was skipped, I walked up to the bar to ask and without even saying much the bar tender responded so rudely and made me so incredibly uncomfortable. She said there were only two people in the kitchen which I completely understand, was just worried maybe our food was overlooked. I said thank you and went back to our seat? She didn’t even let me say anything before getting angry. We waited a full hour before asking because I didn’t want to come off as annoying but in turn was treated so poorly for absolutely no reason at all. My friend went up a few minutes after because we were ready to leave and the other bartender handed him our food and was also really unpleasant to talk to. We weren’t approaching anyone in a confrontational or angry manner. Seemed like all the people working there were having a bad day and just wanted to take it out on everyone…food was good tho

Delicious burgers, cute atmosphere and I had great convo with the bartender, Shane. Shane makes some seriously delicious & creative drinks, just off the top of his head. They were all so good! Just overall very impressed with this place. Will come back! 10/10 recommend

I’ll start this review by saying I’ve worked in restaurants in Detroit for over 5 years and know what kind of service to expect from a neighborhood dive bar but the last experience I’ve had here was completely unacceptable. I have been to dirty shake 10+ times and the bar is always a disappointment but the wings are crack so I keep coming back just for that reason. Tonight the staff were incredibly rude, inattentive, and overall unwelcoming. Specifically, the bartender Shane was abysmal. Now it’s apparent to me why people in the hospitality industry call this bar the “bartender graveyard.” Overall, I wish that I hadn’t spend my time or money here at dirty shake.

Great spot. Affordable burger given the quality. Had it more than a few times now. Really enjoyed the Cauliflower dish! Draft beer selection is limited to just two domestics. Have some others in cans. All around great vibe, cool patio, and good location to hit a few bars within a block or two.

Came for a couple of drinks on a Saturday night. Literally two drinks was over $30… and the Service was really disappointing. bartender had some club music playlist blaring so loud that we couldn’t hear each other talk, so we left after about an hour. She was really not friendly, which was shocking. Anyways, the interior is very comfortable and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The lounge area with the couches is set up like they want people to talk and be engaged, but that music made it impossible to do so. The beverages are way overpriced, my friend rated his spiked shake a 3.8/5. I won’t be back.

I came last night and the kitchen was closed. It was a team members last night working there before she went to Ypsilanti. She and another kind soul helped me get my car unstuck out of the snow and find me another restaurant. They could have slammed the door and said be on your way.That’s the heart of Detroit I miss. They are the spirit👊🏾 I’ll go back for the food because they told me it was food.
