I'm leaving this review as positive "criticism." I ordered (over the phone) some Pupusas for take out. I arrived to pick them and the owners (at least they appeared to own the place) were a sweet elderly couple working the kitchen and the register.
The place needs a lot of improvement, I wouldn't dine in until they're done remodeling it.
The salsa for the Pupusas was not the traditional sauce but it was still delicious. The curtido could've been better.
The Pupusas were Okay. They had more dough than toppings so that meant that when you bit into it, it tasted more like a tortilla because it didn't have cheese or toppings in some part.
Those were the only things I tried so I'm sure they have other things on their menu that might be better than their Pupusas.
But besides the subpar look and taste of the Pupusas was that when I picked up the food, there was a man that came off of the streets to greet them in the kitchen without washing his hands first (although he was wearing a mask and didn't touch anything but the cook, and there was also a small dog that wondered into the kitchen for a little bit.
I would return if the facilities improve and the Pupusas get better.
Again, I give this review so that the owners can improve in this area because they have a sweet personality.
Very good. Food was delicious. They are new Restaurant, but they try very hard to improve. Congrats to them.??
They ARE OPEN! Just no buffet at this time due to pandemic restrictions. Just as of now only on weekends and you can call for special orders and speak with the owners for special requests. I absolutely love the food here and the owners are so kind and accommodating. The restaurant is very clean, and the food is outstanding. Homemade delicious Guatemalan and Mexican style cooking. This is a hidden treasure in the heart of Southwest Detroit. Best Guatemalan tamales EVER!
Great Food beautiful familia we love and miss you Mama and Papa ??????♂️
It was delicious! Great food
As an FYI it seems the restaurant only does the buffet, and it is only open on Sunday apparently. Haven't eaten there yet but I thought you might like to know. Gave it three stars because everybody else seems to like it but not being available most of the week and I have never eaten there.

The food was amazing! I will come alot more often now.
Well it would be helpful to know that it doesn't exist anymore before driving to downtown Detroit! My God, take this down!
Great as usual!!!
What, dude? A $9.99 Sunday buffet of Mexican food? Yuca Fritas, enchaladas, rice, beans, those round thingies that they fill with meat and cheese or whatever?? Oh, and home made tortilla chips?
The food is very good
