Best soul food Downriver! We usually just get their wings, macaroni, and greens. So good. Customer service is great as well. I've ordered from them multiple times and never had a problem. The only thing I hate is their inconsistent and tough hours, but I understand it's probably a small business thing they have to deal with.

They are friendly and always helpful💕I’ve had lamb chops, pork chops, chicken wings, just to name a few….lol the Mac n cheese is 👏🏽the food is fresh and my meat was always tender and seasoned well. This is my first time visiting Ella Mae's Place. I love giving small businesses a play. The customer service that I received was satisfactory and the food portions were large. I ordered the meatloaf dinner and it was absolutely delicious. I give the dinner 5 ⭐😋. I'll be back!

Customer service was ok. Food wasn't great at all and I ordered carryout just to find out they didnt have what I ordered so I had to change a side. It was my first time going and the last time going. The ribs were tough and couldn't eat them. The greens were bland with no flavor. The candy yams tasted like they only put brown sugar on them. I didn't taste any cinnamon or nutmeg whatsoever in the candy yams. The dressing had no flavor and crumbled all over, which real dressing doesn't do. And don't get me started on their prices. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you want real soul food, go to moores soul food right down the street from them. Oh yeah, I ordered pound cake too which was old and hard. I'm seriously not over exaggerating either. All the food I got was not good. I wasted $60 on this place. Never again!
