FAUSTINAS IS GONE, HOWEVER, ALI”S KORNER, in its place was EXCELLENT!!!!!!!
It is a humble space owned and operated by an even more humble woman Ali White. The first thing, she was very personable and down to earth, second the wait was minimal, third, price is reasonable, last, the food was PHENOMENAL!!!!
Ox Tail Master!
The sliders and ox tail/Mac and cheese bowl is superb! Then she walks the food outside to you where she’s set up a cozy makeshift patio in front of the restaurant right on the corner of Wyoming and Pickford.

I give the food 0 stars because I could not eat it. The food was inedible I should’ve have known better when I went inside the establishment. My food was cold…the lobster, shrimp Mac n cheese was old and had no shrimp and lobster on it. My gumbo tasted expired and gave us expired Pop. They asked me to come back and they would make me something else but no thank you. $82 down the drain and I’m at work hungry 😞

The Jerk chicken is a bully/ too concentrated 6/10. Mac,pintos, and cornbread are perfect. 7.5/10 overall.

The food is amazing. But it’s hard to reach them to place an order or get correct days that they are open.

This restaurant recently reopened its doors to the public and I recommend you visit! The food is awesome and reminds me of the cooking back home. I live near this spot so it’s good to know that I can get quality soul food from an acclaimed chef like Anthony. He took care of me with the alligator bites. I highly recommend and will return!

Thanks to Chef Anthony this was the most amazing soul food I've had in a really long time. Anthony is very friendly, and sociable. Even though I came in 10 minutes before closing time he was nice enough to explain the culinary history within his family. I had yams, greens, mac n cheese, and cornbread. I never tasted cornbread like this it was so good!
