Family and I came in for lunch on Sunday. The service was great and the food was fantastic. I got the shrimp po’boy and it was loaded with shrimp! One of my new favorite spots.

Located in Detroit, Michigan, this restaurant surround their food and restaurant with southern flare. Really good experience. The food was great! I tried alligator for the first time and enjoyed so many other goodies. The food was amazing and fresh! The food was pricey but worth the experience. The service was awesome! Our server had a great personality, fast, caring, and had a great sense of humor. The service made the experience exceptional. The atmosphere was beautiful. Great adult space to come and unwind. Very large space for big parties.Overall, it was a really good experience at Fishbone's!Vegetarian options: Very nice selection of vegetarian options!Parking: No free parking is available. Hard to find parking, and they were all paid parking.Kid-friendliness: I'm not sure if the restaurant is kid-friendly, especially at night.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice size restaurant for wheelchair accessibility.

Food is good but the prices have gotten crazy for the quality. Also you will turn into a skeleton waiting for your waitress to get over to you & add a gratuity for two people. This place used to be great with great service, not anymore.

Everytime we come to Detroit, we get sushi from Fishbone's. However, this time our experience was rough. On Thursday night before Opening Day (around 8pm) they didn't seem too busy. We got sat almost immediately but it took 15+ minutes to be acknowledged. Then it took another 10+ minutes to get our beer and we had to ask for water several times. The tables around us had gotten their 2nd courses by the time we got water! Evidently we were in a good mood and not too hungry so we waited it out. Our sushi was delicious but I pointed to sashimi on the menu and the server brought us out the tuna appetizer. While we didn't exactly know what to expect, we thought it was a lot of fish for one order of sashimi. I said something once we got our bill and the server acted like she had no idea how she could've made that mistake and had to ask a manager to reduce the price. I told her how there is a giant section of sashimi and nigiri on the menu so she should look at the menu so she knows what people are ordering. She had several excuses throughout our evening there but ultimately it took an hour and a half to get 2 beers and some sushi. We ended up walking to the bar to get a second beer. I dislike how they automatically add gratuity because this lady did not deserve 18%. Then, on Saturday, we went back so I could try the Creole Bloody Mary but they were out of mix after looking for 5 minutes. It was a disappointing overall experience.

Went in for dinner last night. As a frequent diner at this restaurant I was absolutely disgusted with the attitude of the host and manager Victor. Host was super rude when we asked to sit at one of the high tops. Manager Victor was the most unprofessional manager I’ve ever met in my life! I explained to our server who by the way was absolutely wonderful. I can’t remember her name I wish I did but she told us she had just started working there a week ago about the nasty attitude the host had and she sent a manager over. Once the manager arrived he asked me if I called a manager over. I said honestly I just mentioned to the server how rude the host was and she sent you over. Which he then proceeded to get hostile with me not sure why and kept saying so did you need a manager or not. I said sir, I just mentioned to the server the hosts attitude. Can you believe this so called “manager” started yelling at me in front of everyone kept saying did you call me over or not. I said sir why are you yelling at me. He said do you want to see another manager. At this point I’m already in disbelief I say no I would just like you to walk away because you are yelling at me and being very unprofessional as a “manager” of a restaurant and he continues to yell at me. And says I’ll walk away when you tell me if you want to see another manager or not mind you I’ve already told this man no because im shocked he’s even acting this way and if he’s one of the managers yelling at customers for absolutely no reason I don’t want to talk to anyone else so I asked him about 3 more times can you please leave so I can enjoy my food. Which he finally decided to turn around and walk away. I hurried and ate. Paid for my food and left. Safe to say I will never return to this restaurant. Horrible so called “manager” (Victor) claims to have been there for 35 years but still lacking a whole lot of professionalism to manage a restaurant.

We stopped into Fishbones on a Friday around 5:30. We didn't have reservations, but the place is HUGE. We just missed happy hour, so we sat at a table. There was a band playing and things were lively! It took an extremely long time to get our first drink. I would say 20 minutes!! Menu items were very pricy. My husband had lamb chops for $55. He liked them and it was enough to take some home. Drinks were $12-15 each. I had a peacan crusted chicken on greens with blue cheese crumbles. This was not something I would recommend. The chicken was dry and the pecans were burnt. The blue cheese was old and the lettuce was just iceberg!! Not a $23 salad! We left after another long wait and paid our $200 tab. I am in no hurry to go back.

We love Fishbone's! It's my husband's favorite restaurant. We don't get here often but when we do, it's absolutely worth it. I love the turkey burger and he gets whatever sushi sounds good that day. The spinach and artichoke dip and bread are amazing as well. The service is always friendly and I have no bad things to say!

Food was just ok...I remember a time when the food was really delicious. Me bread was really good though. The service was really good. They have live music which was nice, I enjoyed. Yes I'd revisit for the chill atmosphere.

Made reservations for my family only to be told to wait in line for 40 minutes past my original reservation time while people without reservations get sat ahead of us. What is the point of taking reservations?
